Appointments
How do I book an appointment?
Send the appointment form on our Contact Us page or call us at (866) 332-0335. The form is a request: we will call you back to confirm the day and time.
Is my appointment confirmed when I send the form?
Not yet. The form tells us when you would like to come in. Your appointment is confirmed once someone from our office calls you.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Please call the office as early as you can. That lets us offer the time to another patient and find a new time that suits you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
A photo ID, your dental insurance card if you have one, a list of any medications you take, and any recent dental X-rays or records you may have.
What happens at a first appointment?
Dr. Lopez examines your teeth and gums, explains what he finds in plain language, and goes over your options. You will get an honest diagnosis before any treatment is planned.
Insurance and payment
Do you accept my insurance?
We welcome PPO and HMO plans, and our front office is known for helping patients get the most from their benefits. Coverage depends on your individual plan, so please call us with your insurance details and we will check for you.
Will I know what my plan covers before treatment?
We work with your insurance plan and go over the recommended treatment with you first, so you understand your benefits before anything begins.
What if I do not have insurance?
Please call the office. We will explain your options and the expected costs before you come in.
Treatments
What kind of crowns do you offer?
Whenever it suits the tooth, we recommend Zirconia crowns. They are non-metal, made to last, and come in a range of shades so we can match your own teeth.
What is a deep cleaning?
A deep cleaning removes plaque and tartar from below the gumline, where a regular cleaning does not reach. It is usually recommended when there are signs of gum disease. Dr. Lopez will tell you honestly whether you need one.
Will treatment hurt?
Many of our patients describe their cleanings and treatment as painless and mention the dentist’s soft hands. If you feel nervous, tell us when you book and we will take extra time with you.
How often should I have a check-up?
For most people, a check-up and cleaning every six months is a good routine. Depending on your teeth and gums, Dr. Lopez may suggest coming in more or less often.
Why does gum health matter so much?
Gum disease can lead to tooth loss, and it is linked to wider health problems. People with periodontal disease are almost twice as likely to have coronary artery disease.
Can you improve the look of my smile?
Yes. We offer esthetic dental work and smile makeovers. Book an in-office consultation and we will show you what is possible for your teeth.
